Challenge
Flugun is a spatial sterilizer that mainly sterilizes air by spraying super-micro particles of a chemical that is harmless to humans. It can remove bacteria, viruses, vermin, stench, and harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde. It uses low-heat steam and comes in a large capacity, making it heavy and bulky to use.
The challenge from the company (Ecointot) was to redesign Flugun to enhance user experience and interaction while expanding its target users.
Solution
Flugun 2.0, a modernized version of the initial bulky design. The main target users were school rooms and homes, based on research findings. The new design also enhances the user experience for flugun.

User Study
We conducted conceptual interviews with experienced and new users. The interviews were videotaped for later review. The main problem that was observed was that the size and weight of the product were too cumbersome for most users. Also, users mentioned they keep forgetting to sanitize with the product, although they liked using the product and the satisfied feeling they get after use.

Data Analysis
The interview video was transcribed and the user use section was rewatched to draw out insight to product handling. Points were selected and later grouped to draw out design direction.
